Bridge out at Bridge Creek

In spring 2021 it was discovered that the North Fork Bridge Creek Bridge had washed away in the winter. The National Park Service announced the problem in a May 25th release.
The detour route was up and over via either Rainbow Lake (6,238 ft at the pass) or McAlester Lake (6,004 ft at the pass). Both far more beautiful routes to Stehekin than the PCT, especially when heading toward Stehekin.
Sometime before July 6th, when the NPS announced its presence, a temporary suspension bridge had been installed.
On November 1st (after all the northbound PCT hikers had surely been across or had quit for winter) the NPS removed the temporary bridge to protect it from winter damage.
