The Cave Ridge Phone Booth

For years, anyone on the PCT just south of Kendall Katwalk, could look west to see a very odd thing just across the valley; a phone booth on the NE slope of Cave Ridge. The USFS removed it in 2012. I still have no idea who put it there (bolted it down even) or how they got it there.

Cave ridge is a private mining claim and home to the deepest cave in Washington State, Newton cave, 800 vertical ft deep. This cave is uniquely beautiful and dangerous because its walls are polished white marble. The cave has multiple entrances.
